I am about to take you on a little trip to one of my favorite places in Charlotte. It’s a place that has a variety of shops and restaurants. you can find a little gift store to wine to pizza to desserts of various kinds. The place is called 7ThStreet Market.  My first stop there was my go-to spot anytime I am craving a great calzone. The pizza shop is called Pure Pizza. I decided for this I would branch out and try something a little different. I ordered a ham and onion calzone. I still love their calzones, but I wasn’t too crazy on the ham. On other hand I would normally order a pepperoni and green peppers calzone. I love the ricotta and mozzarella ratio and the fact that the cheese goes all the way till about an inch from the end. I had a friend come along with me and she had never had Pure Pizza before. She just got a pepperoni calzone. She loved the mozzarella and the fact that there was a lot of cheese.

Our next stop in the market was the Assorted Wine Shop. This place is really unique you can buy wine by the glass, bottle and even a half of a bottle. We Decided to buy by the glass. I am more into sweeter wines. I decided on a bubbly Moscato. My glass of wine only cost my $6 plus tax. They have variation in prices. My friend’s glass only cost $5 plus tax. Heading back to the delicious bubbly Moscato I had, it was made my Allure Winery. If you are look a cheap, sweet, bubbly wine, this is the wine for you! The bottle only cost roughly 8-12 dollars.  My friend and I both agreed this wine would be perfect to use for a Mimosa.

We paired our wine with some dessert form Zia Pia. So originally Zia Pia is an Italian restaurant that focuses on authentic Italian food, that is fresh and nutritious. They even have a little shop where you can buy their ingredients that they use every day. We had tried their desserts that they present in a showcase. I had the pecan pie. The pie was delicious and very traditional. I also loved that it wasn’t too sweet. It definitely reminded of my grandma’s pie that she made on holidays. My friend opted for the gluten free chocolate tart with raspberry puree and hazelnut brittle. Everything about this tart is delicious the balance of sweet, bitter, and tart. I am normally not a huge fan of raspberry, for the simple fact people can add too much and the flavor will just take over it, but with this dessert it was perfectly balanced.

The last place we visited, to me, was the hidden gem of coffee. I never knew about this place until then. It’s a coffee place called Not Just Coffee. I have later found out that there are multiple locations in uptown and one in Southend. Talking about the 7thstreet location, the amount of love and passion that goes into every cup is definitely noticeable. I had the caramel Latte. The fact that they use real caramel, just takes the flavor up a notch. Sometimes it’s not only about the coffee. My Friend had a cappuccino. If you like a more bitter drink, this is the drink for you! It is a little more bitter than a latte, but still has the hint of sweetness. My whole experience there was wonderful. One of the baristas named Kenya (I really hope that is how you spell her name), she is a complete sweet heart. I watched how she was interacting with two little kids who ordered hot chocolate and it was really sweet. I even found out that she if literally 1 year and 2 days older than me. I have to mention that she OFFICALLY gave me my first birthday present, a cookie! If you are reading this, THANK YOU AGAIN!! The other barista, Garrett, just recently moved out to charlotte. I found out that he is from about an hour away from my hometown.  The name of the coffee shop, Not Just Coffee, fits this shop to perfection! Now giving Kenya and Garrett a quick shout out for making my experience amazing!!!! 7thStreet Market has a variety of things to do and with the countless number of menu items you won’t ever get bored.
